I don't like it when people who've contributed nothing to this community use it to advertise something that makes them money.

In her defense, it looks like she just joined. And it's not like she said, Hey buy this!!! I dunno, I don't find it too offensive.

well she did just get here.

she might need time to contribute to the community.

And in her defense she does have a journal. It's not like she's avoiding the community. It may just be that this is a big deal and she wanted to say something.

I see what you're saying, but if when I just joined something cool happened to me right then, I would have announced it. I think it would bother me more if she had no journal, belonged to no groups and started a thread that had pics of her work and prices.

I mean, in the grand scheme of things people start far more offensive threads than this their first time out.

I guess I was wrong and we should just have new members advertise when they have something important to say.

nah, you're right... sometimes, it is done is an obnoxious way. But her thread starts, "if anyone is interested." If I wasn't interested I would have just hit the back button and checked out a new thread.

Anyhow, I'm going to try to stop posting in her thread and detracting fom her topic.

considering you aren't a moderator lets let anyone say anything they want until someone in charge gets pissed off... no one is forcing you to read the post or look at the link.

I'm gonna bump this cuz I like her stuff.

But valid points have been made. It's tough being new, here or anywhere. Not many people are going to read her journal, so posting it there is screaming at a wall. But if she hits the boards from the get go, it feels wrong. I don't know of a right answer.

sexyIllustrator, I wish you the best of luck, both with your art and here at SG.

Well I am new and I dont have many friends here, and SG suggests to start posting on the boards so people can know what you are about to make some friends so I thought the best way would be to just say what was going on right now if anyone cares and hopefully find some people who like pinup art etc. Tom Pegola is the guy putting on the Art festival and i am not a guy I do however get mistaken for being a lesbian, but that I am not either. thank you for defending me! I dont like to shamelessing advertiseing myslef although sometimes I have to. this was not that case. i just wanted to let you guys know what I am about and basically that is what I do ...art so if you want to look at you can and if you dont want to dont. smile miao!!
