I met the band Black Lab, who I don't think anyone has heard of. They were a one hit wonder and I can't even remember their one hit.

Oh! damn near forgot. Clive owen a few weeks back at my favourite sushi restaurant.

And not my story but a great celeb story none the less.

My friend Victor sold one of his guitars on ebay and the person who won it asked if they could come pick it up since they'd be in town for SxSW and Victor said yes.

SxSW came and the winner called Victor and said "can I sent my friend Elijah to go get it for me? I'll send the money with him" and Victor said sure.

So, that night, a BMW pulls up and this guy gets out and says "Victor?" and Victor responds "Elijah?"

"Yeah, my friend said I was supposed to come pick up a guitar for her".

He walks up to victor's door and its fucking Elijah wood. But wait, it gets better.

So Victor pulls out the guitar and hands it to him and Elijah Wood goes on about how "awesome" the guitar is (even though it was a piece of crap guitar that needed quite a bit of work done) and then hands victor a wad of $20's. The guitar had sold for $120 and when victor went to count it, there was only $80.

"Um..there's $40 missing here. It was supposed to be for $120, not $80", victor says.

"Oh, um, yeah" was the reply and Elijah reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a white envelope that has the rest of the money. He left with the guitar right after that.

Elijah Wood tried to swindle my friend out of $40. It's both kinda sad and really kinda funny at the same time
