International grapple-fans will be sad to learn of the demise of Japan's longest standing wrestling troupe.

The organiser has stated that April 17th will be the final outing for the all-woman troupe, which hasn't managed to pull in the crowds for some time, according to MDN.

One of the old stars of the troupe, Dump Matsumoto, has expressed her concerns over the announcement:

"I've been asked to show up for the finale, but I've gotta wonder whether they'll be able to pay me considering there're so many wrestlers who are owed wages now anyhow. I've got my doubts about how many people will turn up, too,"

There is speculation that the troupe might not even be able to afford to rent space for their finale. Chairman Matsunaga says due to the group being so far in debt, any proceeds from the night will go straight back to the government in order to pay off their massive debts - which amount to some 3 billion yen (this is equal to around £14,710,000 GBP or $27,820,000 USD).

The lack of popularity has been attributed to their marketing technique - which foolishly sold the idea of women grappling with each other to men. Wrestling pundit Tsuyoshi Yoshida says:

"At first, it seemed to have been the right idea, but then women fans started to turn off the sport. Nobody wanted to join the troupe either and, in the end, everybody was turned off."

Judging by the source, the ridiculous debt number and the Pun-tastic article title: "Raunchy ring masters make final crack at bums on seats"(get it, "crack"..."bum"...hehehe), i have doubts. . .

The site always uses titillating headlines:

"Hotshot Horie handed hanky-panky hot potato"

"Mika swings to 'Wobbly Tits, Tiny Waist and Bouncy Hips, Let's Share Them All Around'"

"Ripe-figured Kyoka appears ready to bare fruit"
