What's on/in your nightstand?

u guys have a ton of stuff...

I have a Force Feedback Sidewinder joystick, an old cellphone, a power pack for some random mp3 player, camera case, 4 rechargeable radioshack batteries, and a business ownership certificate.

Gotta have two alarm clocks. Also, the books I'm reading: Quomodo Invidiosulos Nomine Grinchus Christi Natalem Abrogaverit (Latin version of How the Grinch Stole X-mas), and a couple of Bukowskis.

I dont have a nightstand.

My dresser is really my nightstand and piled on it I have:
hair wax, contact solution, a tie, suspenders, dress pants, my great-grandfathers tie pin, an Oktoberfest hat, spare change, digital camera, an old magazine, candles, a pair of old sunglasses, a half finished bottle of water from God knows when, and various misc pieces of paper that I manage to gather as I go through this life.

beer bottles, a coke can serving as an ashtray, vaseline intensive care lotion, the book "lord of the barnyard"........

2x nail polish (1black, 1 blue)

1x cherry smelling magic marker

Nightstand?

I don't have one of those.

But here is the stuff laying around on my bedroom floor (yeah, I'm a slob):

*alarm clock
*some 'negatives' from polaroid peel-apart film
*"Maldoror" by Lautreamont (usually other books - I just cleaned up "Monsters and Madonnas" and "The Model" by William Mortensen and the entire set of NY Institute of Photography booklets that my mom gave me)
*a big rock. where'd that come from?
*a dismanteled medical mockup of a human foot - with muscles and bones and stuff inside
*a plastic baby doll
*a plate
*an issue of a local alt-weekly paper that went out of business a few years ago
*a piece of paper with what appears to be lipstick on it. but i'm not sure, and that doesn't quite make sense
*the box for a VHS copy of "Desperate Living"
*empty film canisters

and more. I'll stop now.

Heh. I've an upended purple steamer trunk for a nightstand, but it works. I've got the oh-so-classy Hello Kitty teacup alarm clock, one o' those sound-machines permanently set on heartbeat, an empty mug with 2 past-their-prime teabags in it, chapstick overnight lip care schtuff, a bottle of Chanel no. 5, my cordless phone base, and a vial of rose oil.

I have tissues, two things of lotion, a Sleeping Beauty figurine, a British red telephone booth piggy bank, a red British bus tin thing, a Sleeping Beauty castle that opens up, an alarm clock, a little Dora the Explorer, and a music box with four kids on top of a globe that plays We Are The World.

You have to understand that I never quite grew out of being three years old..

I don't have a night stand, but my desk is above my head when I sleep...Tons of junk there, mostly CDs. When I go to bed I make sure to have whatever book I'm reading, an ashtray, a lighter and a pack of Camels withing reach, though.
