he looks like a fox! its cute!
my dad shaved his cat (yeah im expecting the "your dad has a shaved pussy!?!" jokes) and it was the best thing i have ever seen.
we lived together for a year and got doggie about halfway through... so now we share joint custody. don't laugh... pets are like kids before the real ones come along.
he owes me a lot of mind-altering substances for this one.

Your dog is much, much cuter bald. However, you might want to check with your vet about protecting its skin. Poor dear doesn't need a burn.
I'm thinkin' Toronto in April? mmnot so much. Clara's right about the cuter part, and I'm gonna go so far as probably healthier and happier; hair mattes(sp?) suck.

Sorry if I think your ex is a dick.....but, well....he IS.
Dogs have a coat for a reason, and his sophomoric prank is just that...pretty sophomoric. I guess we know why he is your EX.
Sounds like you are taking lightly though....just find a way to get some Ben Gay into his skivvies and you'll have a little revenge.

It sounds kind of dangerous. How'd he get the cat to stay still?

I tried to let this go but I can't: bravhrt, this particular breed of dog would suffer terribly without frequent and regular grooming. Matted hair can irritate the skin enough to cause skin ulcers to form and infection, leading to septicemia and possibly death. A lot of pure-bred dogs and cats would die in the wild, mostly because of the long and/or curly coats breeders have selectively bestowed upon them, but another is malocclusion of the jaws among dogs and cats with unnaturally squashed-flat faces, so that they can't eat properly unless a veterinarian pulls a few teeth out.
Her ex may indeed be a dick, but he was doing the dog a favor; whether he intended it as a "prank" to get back at her or not, there was no harm done to the dog.

I love the lion shave long haired cats can get...
thats exactly what it looked like! except my dads cat is really anorexic looking so it was even funnier.

That dog's skin has probably never seen even a hint of sun. It doesn't take much for skin that's been so completely covered to burn, much the same way people can burn in the winter.

Okay Clara; I submit that the benefits outweigh the risks. yumyum, do take care that your baby doesn't get a sunburn. I'll wager he/she doesn't get enough sun . . .
