And oh god, the Bizarro Sealab was one of the greatest things ever.

QUIET ERR!!! I'm transmitting rage... Sealab is stillgood... there was a definite shift in the show with the loss of Harry Goz (capt. Murphy). But even though they lost who was arguably the focal character of the show to cancer, they still went ahead and tried to bang out the same kind of humor but with a major shift in the chemistry of the characters.

I'm not even gonna start about the guy who dissed the Aqua Teens by pointing out the cleverness of the shows quirky sense of teasing the fans with seeming tidbits of backstory and subplot and almost anti-continuity as it's faults while I feel firmly th these are parts of the show that keep fans coming back for more weird humor.

That's all I'm gonna say in defense of a Cartoon schedule for one night.

Only one of you jerk-offs have mentioned "Fullmetal Alchemist".

I'm not normally a fan of anime, but I've fallen head-over-heels for "Fullmetal" within the past year. It's unlike any of the other anime out there.

they really did make it look like it was gonna be the typical action anime show, but then you watch it and everything just has a fucked up twist to it. It's way darker than you'd ever expect it ot be. That's why it rules.

yeah...i heart Bob. frown i think people just dismiss the show as another poorly animated, forced-randomness fest, but it's not, really. they have fantastic guest stars and the animation itself is about half the jokes. it really adds to the perpetual despair of Tom's life, too. everything looks so ugly and bleak in that animation style.

i still don't get how anyone could find anything funny about Boondocks. i watched some of it once. i didn't detect a single joke. and i'm pretty sick of racial "humor" in general.

The Boondocks isn't about racial humor. Actually, it's quite the opposite. Every episode usually has a thinly-disguised black empowerment message behind it and is designed to make you think about the tragedies behind racism and the way race is portrayed in television, movies, music, and other forms of entertainment and media. It's actually really interesting if you take the time to diagnose what Aaron McGruder is trying to say through the plot and characters.

EX: "The Itis" episode was about "the man" (big business, the government, rich and powerful whites) bringing drugs into the community to placate the citizens, turn them against each other and create a high-crime, low-rent neighborhood, making people easy to control and making it easier to get what they really want.

Basic breakdown: "the man" - white dude who gives grandpa the restaurant
crack - "the itis"
end result - "the man" turns the neighborhood into fiending dope addicts who live in squalor, and is then able to buy the park that he had previously not been able to get the city to let him purchase, so he can start construction there.

Oh and I totally LOVE the programming changes. There are so many shows on Adult Swim that they can't possibly keep them all on a regular schedule. I love the fact that there is always a new lineup and on any given night you could see your favorite shows all in a row.

The new schedule is fabulous. I'm not in love with Samurai Champloo but I think its an amazing show and its a shit load better than most of the annoying garbage they throw at me. I've seen Tri-Gun a thousand times but its still good and again, a shitload better than S-Cryed and Lupin.

Viva' la Kuro Neko!

I'm still waiting for them to kill Family Guy and Aqua Teen. I'm not really an anime fan, I just hate low-mid brow comedies aimed at people on marajuana.

I love alot of the shows on [as] like FullMetel, Boondcks, Venture Brothers, Paronia Agent, Harvey Birdman, ATHF.

Lately though the shows just seem like they were thought up by high 12 year olds, namely 12oz Mouse, Squidbillies (I fucking hate that show!)...I can't remember most of the really bad ones, thank god.

I thought ATHF was pretty funny... like four years ago. Now everytime I see it climbs a space on my billboard chart of hate mad

That shit has gotten so fucking annoying. Its like the writers only have three stories and then they madlib the characters and events.

ATHF and Family Guy are two shows I try to like but I just can't.

I don't get adult swim here in canada but some of these shows are aired on ytv every once in awhile. Well not enough to form an opinion good or bad.

I do love Futurama though.

I love adult swim. I was a fan from their first days on Cartoon Network. But yes there are things I could do without. Full Metal Alchemist is not a favorite of mine and the bad dubbing doesnt help. Inuyash can suck it. Problem is most of the best anime is not dubbed for america (and yes less people watch when their not dubbed) or are not licsensed for distrobution yet. Not to mention the company is owned by Turner so there are limitations.

But yeah I love ATHF, Futureramma, Family Guy, Evangelion, and the Big newe show Boondocks. I am dieing for the return of Robot Chiken and Venture Brothers.

As for the changing schedual they do it to satisfy different people at different times and I think they do it based on viewership at a given moment.
