Stephen Chow is one of the most hysterical filmmakers working today. The film that first broke him out, Shaolin Soccer is a huge cult hit in America and his latest film, Kung Fu Hustle, is getting the right kind of release from Sony Pictures Classics.

Kung Fu Hustle has so much going with such brilliant imagination behind it. As the co-writer/director/star Chow has a lot on his plate with this his most personal film. It is about a hapless wanna be gangster; Sing [Chow], who must overcome his inability...

I completely agree. Steve Oedekerk (I cant believe i know who directed that monstrosity) must be green with envy.

Kung Fu Hustle is without a doubt one of the most fun films I've ever seen and has joined the ranks of my all-time faves. Watching it you can really see just how much he put into it. Genius, pure genius. It's funny, it's heart warming and it deserves heaps of praise.

Stephen Chow is a hilarious performer.

My personal favorite out of the few films of his I've seen is "From Beijing With Love", which is his spoof of the James Bond films (and blows away any other Bond spoof I've seen in recent memory)!

He's made many films in Hong Kong, and I believe his movies almost always do well at the box office there.

Way before Stephen Chow made Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle, he made a trilogy called The God of Gamblers. The first one stars Chow Yun Fat as the God of Gamblers. Everyone who doesn't know Stephen Chow should look way back at all the hilarious movies he's made before. I'm glad he's getting recognition in the US. But it's been long overdue.

This man is a genius - one of my favorite directors. Anyone can make a movie these days, but the directors who shine are the ones who truly enjoy making movies. For those of you who haven't seen it yet, Kung Fu Hustle is an absolute must. It's absolutely hilarious, and the action sequences are amazing - pure genius.

stephen chow is awesome and so is kung fu hustle.

my only gripe with it is that ng man tat is not in it but since there's a sequel coming, there's always hope.

oh and hes' the dude that is in a LOT of movies with stephen chow, people will probably be more familiar with him as the coach in shaolin soccer.

it's not easy to describe kung fu hustle, which is a good thing but it's such a fun movie, even if you don't like previous stephen chow movies, this one is totally worth watching.

Stephen Chow is definitely the king. The Lucky Guy and The Magnificent Scoundrels are other brilliant classics.

"Kung Fu Hustle" was the best time I've had at the theatre in years.

I marked out big time for Yuen Wah (Jachie, Sammo and Yuen Baio's opera school brother) and especially Yuen Woo Ping's cameo.

The film reminded me of the Korean movie "Arahan" which is also top notch.

Now I am impatiently waiting to see "Old Boy" again.....but this time on the big screen!!!

God bless Sony Pictures Classics for not fucking up the distribution of Hustle like Miramax fucked up "Shaolin Soccer".

Kung Fu Hustle is an absolute trip. It starts out like a bizarre dream sequence...but it keeps on going. Unbelievable. And I loved the part where Stephen Chow gets repeatedly stabbed by the guy trying to throw the knives.

The film had some great CGI sequences, probably the best I've ever seen. That said, I overdosed on all the effects. It simply didn't hold my attention the whole way through. My criticism of this film and most other action films today: It would've been better with fewer effects and more story!

YES, this is so awesome, i love Stephan Chow and his fabulous movies...........i love the cast, the settings and just the whole atmosphere of his movies.
I watch kungfu hustle at least once a month.
I first came across his work when i saw "shaolin soccer" on the shelves, i was doubtful but still went on to grab it, it was so amazing to me.
