actually this one from the list cracked me up

11. Jeanne Garafalo as Bethany Sloane in Dogma
The role went to: Linda Fiorentino

Garafalo still had a (very minor) part in the movie, but Fiorentino got the lead. Director Smith himself has said that if he had to cast and film the movie over again, Garafalo would have gotten the part (citing dificulties with directing Fiorentino and her primadonna attitude). Good call on Fiorentino?

Did Smith think Garafalo would be any less of a primadonna? HA!

Christopher Lee has appeared in more films than any other actor , he's in the Guiness Book of World Records . Christopher Walken has said in interviews he isn't very selective in what he appears in , he just really likes to work .

According to Smith, Garafalo was MUCH easier to work with. Listen to the comentary on the Dogma Special Edition disc sometime.

I like miss Garafolo, but I just couldn't see her having that conversation with Bartleby in the dining car. There needed to be some kind of believable sexual tension, and I can only picture sexual tension between her and Ben Stiller.

Although the Jay and Silent Bob stuff would have been hilarious with her.

David Bowie totally should have been Elrond. Aside from being distracting, Agent Smith wasn't beautiful enough.

Christopher Walken? He is too good of an actor to be in a Star Wars movie.

Good actor or not, Walken would have been all wrong for that role. Also, while I think some of his work is excellent he has had many performances bad enough to be in a Star Wars movie. He is IMHO very uneven and inconsistent. Sometimes brilliant. Sometimes shit.
