Have you ever had a paranormal experience? Tell me your story!

edited to say: i understand there was already a thread like this a few months ago. so if you don't have a ghost story, then what's the scariest movie you've ever seen?

One time, when I was about 8, I saw the door handle go down on my grandma's glass door but noone was on the other side. I turned and looked at it and it flung back up.

Now, I was 8 so I could have just dreamed it all up, but it's the only time I've really done it. You'd think if I was that type of child I would have done it more often and/or thought up something cooler than a moving doorknob.

Guess I'll never know. whatever

Yeah this is my first thread... I don't know if it will work out or not. *sigh.* people are fickle. Or maybe there's no one around who has any fun stories to tell me. meh. smile

I had a oiji board tell me all about the little sister of a friend of mine. The little sister died years ealier during birth. It told me she was blonde and her first name. I had ZERO prior knowledge of any of it. The sister, the name, nothing. When I asked my friend about it, hse starting sobbing hard and freaking out, asking(screaming at me) how I knew that shit. frown

I haven't fucked with a oiji since, but only b/c people won't do it with me. I always have weird shit happen on those boards, but that was the weirdest.

That is odd. Crazy story too. My friend and I made our own board back in grade school and used it once. I think it worked, unless she was cheating. Anyhow, I am truly intrigued by them but too scared to use them. I have a glow-in-the-dark board sitting in my closet still in the shrink wrap. My friend got it for me and I scared to even touch it. biggrin

Every theatre I have been a member of has been haunted. There've been shadows in front of lights where there shouldn't have been. I've been goosed. I've seen movement in wings and catwalks. Creepy. That's why you leave a "ghost light" on in the theatre. And always dedicate a performance to the ghost. And the last person out must say goodnight to him or her at night.

Yeah, there were several people at my house. Me and another person were the only ones on the board and in a room by ourselves. My friend was at another part of the party, and when the board told us all this info we got up and went in the other room to ask her about it. That is when she freaked and ran out of the house crying and screaming at me. surreal

That's disturbing in a fascinating way. I never really had any weird experiences with Oujii boards. I think I tried to talk to Elvis once, when I was 8. I have a friend who can see ghosts, and he talks to them all the time (so he says). He told me that Oujii boards are a big joke to dead people, and they have great fun pretending to be whoever you're trying to contact.

Theatres are creepy. I watch a show called Most Haunted and they did a 24 hr vigil in a theatre in England somewhere. The seats moved.

Quija boards scare me -- I really don't want the other side knowing about me.

When I was a kid my sister had a slumber party and they lit candles and held a seance trying to contact some dead singer, I think Jim Croce. It was dark they were quiet and concentrating when all of sudden the phone rang ... and no one was on the other end. I swear it's true, I was there. I'm feeling a little spooked now -- hope I can sleep tonight. frown

my friends were screwing with a ouija board. I watched a single leaf on a plant hanging over the table bend...rest of the plant was undisturbed. really spooked me, especially since my friend's house was an old funeral parlor.

A friend and I were talking about ghosts when his halogen light dimmed. That really freaked me out!!!

They do say that ghosts absorb surrounding energy.

Many years ago after moving to a new home, my mother told me that the house we were living in was haunted.

True story: The previous owner murdered her son and attempted to murder her husband.

My mother said that she saw a little boy staring out the front window a couple of times as she came home.

I don't really believe in ghosts though. If they really do exists, where are all the dinosaur ghosts?
