What do you do when you realize someone likes you and you really arent interested?

My problem lies in the fact that no one ever has a crush on me... If they have they have never told me anything and ive never found out... so in the past week I have had 3 friends in one class tell me that theyve noticed a certain guy staring at me and that they are sure that he likes me... And that they think its cute the way he looks at me... well... I don't really like him like that... and I feel like an asshole because no one likes me and when finally one does i don't really want anything to do with him... am i wrong? Should I totally comprimise my standards and get with him? I really don't like him like that... he is a nice guy and would be good for someone i am sure... but we arent a like in anyway...

never compromise your standards...they're standards for a reason

i've been there. but in my case i got lucky and she switched schools. but that was a long time ago. no one should ever lower their standards just to be with someone. cause you'll eventually end up hating yourself or the other in the long run. all i can say is explain that you dont feel "that" way about him. be gentle though. when a guy is turned down by a girls he's smiten by it hurts big time (been there too). and if all else fails you can always skip town. (lol j/k on that last part)

Do you actually know him? Or have you just seen him and think to yourself that he's "not your type".

If you actually know him - and you know that he ain't it - then be kind, but firm in the "no" part of it. If you are clear from the start, then he can be your friend, or he can fuck off and live his life.

If you don't know him, and have only seen him here or ther, take a chance, meet him and find out more about him. Maybe he is the coolest guy you will ever know - how do you know? Well, you'll never know if you don't talk to him a bit....It isn't lowering your standards if he has the power to change them. I've met women like this - you look at them and think - aaaahhhh.... but then, you take a chance and start talking to them, and WOW - a whole 'nother world opens up and you find someone who is cool....

Yes I know Him... He has been in my classes for the last 2 semesters... I think he followed me into my current class too...
