Be fair, therealbuffy, you have Oasis as one of your favorite bands, and they were accused of the same shit these guys are.
yes, but the Oasis debate is a whole other story. I'll just say that cause they say they're like the Beatles, doesn't mean they are. Everyone just believed them and bought the record to find out. Genius marketing on Oasis' part. And the Beatles never used high gain guitars (don't throw revolution at me, difference between high gain and overgaining a board to distort), and would have never written "whats the story morning glory"
These bands are nothing like Oasis, they're deriving from a style where as Oasis had a heavily influenced SONGWRITER. Something lacking in most of music today, real songwriters

I gotta stay pictureless cause of my job, I don't think they'd approve. Low key for me
As an exchange then, could you figure out how the Reply function works?
Thanks.
no, this is the most time I've spent chatting and refuse to learn how the proper way to do it is, if you don't like the way I do things, don't talk to me. I like your choices of bands though, sans Pixies, if you have the Pixies why don't you have the Talking Heads and Velvet Underground? Listen to early talking heads and pick out the lyrics and songs that Frank Black ripped off.

Also, I really wish every band I interviewed would go this much in depth about the way they record their songs, what they were were thinking about, and how they write them. This is one of my favorite interviews. Very easy.
Hopefully that shows they are confident in what they do, that they aren't relying on the 'mystique' of the band to sell it.
Yeah. Some of the negative reviews they've been getting write them off as a derivative joke, but talking to the guy, I think he honestly loves classic rock and the classicist style of songwriting and recording.
I got this today, this band is great fun... it's definitely a throwback to Gary Glitter, Marc Boland, Suzi Quatro etc... the stomping sound of Glam Rock, with a difference... the band seems to actually know what real glam rock sounds like.... which is what defined glam rock in the first place, that stomp... the good time.
This band is a good time.

I hope that you take your shoes off when entering someones house if that's their wish, even if thats not what you've spent years doing.

I hate bands that they don't play on my radio that I want to hear but can't hear without shelling out the $12.95 that I don't have to hear them on the chance I might like them.
