What *IS* a Suicide Girl?

I happen to think that Patricia Arquette's portrayal of Alabama in True Romance mixed with the character that she played in Stigmata is the ultimate embodyment of a Suicide Girl.

...And maybe just the tiniest dash of Juliette Lewis as Mallory Knox - Natural Born Killers.

i was actually wondering the other day if the term 'suicidegirl' has any deep profound meaning.. the history of it/where it came from yadda.

The answer to this question may have been touched on somewhere but I've been here too long to remember where it was.

You're right, and I'll add one more. I've always thought of sgs as girls who would enjoy looking at pictures of themselves naked, even if no-one else saw them.

good call on the survivor thing. when i first heard the name it was oddly familiar but i didn't make that connection until a few months ago. i think we could be on to something. maybe we should ask someone who would know.

i dont know exactly where it came from, but i was rereading chuck palahniuk's survivor a while back, and came across the phrase 'suicide girls'. the passage seemed to fit. i dont know if that is where it actually came from, but it works for me.
