You too can join the Dick Trickle Fan Club. Unfortunately ther 'merchandise' section is closed. Apparently no one wants to wear a 'Dick Trickle' T-shirt. Personally I thought the "I'm a big fan of Dick" ball cap would be a big seller.

I guess the dwarf's parents were complete dicks.

There was a guy in my high school named "Harry Sachs" (pronounced "Hairy Sacks"). I remember everyone would laugh whenever they called his name over the loud speaker.

Okay, seriously, before you rip me a new one, my mom teaches 1st grade, and as you know, there's an epidemic of undereducated teens (mostly from poor neighborhoods) getting pregnant.
But anyway, she's got a girl in her class named "Name" pronounced Nah-ME, apparently, the mother saw Name on the birth-certificate, and thought the doctors had already named her, but instead of pronouncing it nAme (long A) like it is supposed to be, she pronounced it Nah-ME (short a, long E)

The meeting was called to order by Bruce Freeman who led the pledge to the flag. President Freeman then asked everyone to take a minute of silence in memory of Audley Quear who had served on many commissions and committees for the community, most recently the Hamilton County Plan Commission. President Freeman said that Mr. Quear would be greatly missed.

I think this is the same guy I heard about on the news a while ago, who died when he was crushed by an avalanche of grain spilling out from a grain silo. Sad, but I had to do a double-take at the name.

"What a beautiful baby, let's name him Oddly Queer." wink
