Who would win in an all out battle to the death ninja or samurai?

I have to say I side with the ninja because they are versed in all of te same weapons training as the samurai because the first ninja were trained by samurai and the ninja are also well versed in hand to hand combat plus they look cool in there black outfits biggrin

ninja, samurai were so scared of ninja's they thought they had all kinds of magical powers and they were killed quite often because ninja's didn't adhere to their code of battle.

(ninja's weren't ever trained by samurai since samurai used a japanese martial art and ninja's are based on chinese martial arts)

that said i like samurai better and my imaginary samurai can beat the shit out of your theoretical ninja.
now bring on the pirates and vikings.

not true the first ninja were trained by a ronin and were actually japaese farmers which is why most of their weapons were farm tools

If by "win" you mean "bleed" and by "all" you mean "to death because a ninja flipped out and cut them in half."

Then yeah.

Your pirate hatred is sad to see in one so young and impressionable. Love is a rainbow: I'm over here and you are way the fuck on the other side.. wink

how would a ronin train them exactly in a martial art he never heard of, with weapons he never touched and a philosophy that he despises?

you don't feel that it sounds a lot more credible that it's based in chinese martial arts that actually share principles and the fact that it implements a lot of weapons based on farm tools?

If my obession with Hong Kong kung fu flicks has taught me anythig, it that the Shaolin monks will kick all their buts!

Not that the Samurai would have an oportunity to meet the Shaolin.

Ink-Eyes vs. Takeno?

Well, they'd both die, but I'd probably rather have Ink-Eyes on my side.

The ronin simply made up the name and philosophy for the martial art, secondly the people he trained were farmers so he had to make do with what he had, in terms of weapons, thirdly he needed these farmers to protect him because he was on the run, from what i don't remember i just remember the important aspects of the story that sensei told me, fourthly, i can't say that i ever remember seeing kama or shuriken being used in any chinese martial art, fifthly how could he despise a philosophy he hadn't heard of yet, most martial arts come about by trial and error and thats pretty much how this one came about.

This is what I got from Wikipedia's Entry on Ninjas:

It is popularly believed that the ancient ninja were peasants, who were forbidden under law from studying the samurai swordplay techniques because of the caste structure of their society. This was not necessarily true as most ninja were also samurai, operating as spies in an underground intelligence network.

Take it as you will.
