I just broke up with my girlfriend and whilst collecting up her things I found a bottle of Klonopins. I went online and well...what do they REALLY do for ya? Do I want these for me? Recreational replies please.

Isn't klonopin a seizure medication?
Seizures and panic disorders
Warning, may cause drowsiness and diziness. Alcohol may magnify these effects.
NO FORKLIFTS.

It's a benzodiazepine...along the lines of xanax, valium, etc.

Usually prescribed for anxiety related disorders.

How well did you really know your woman if you didn't know she was taking meds for having seizures?

I take klonopins for my anxiety. When you first start taking them they knock you out and you sleep like a baby, but after awhile you grow a tolerance to them and then the sleep side effect goes away.

If they were prescribed to your ex she probably needs them for one reason or another and you should give them back.

You want them for you. Careful, though, they are highly addictive.

They are highly addictive, it is true.

Also, 1 milligram was enough to knock me out for 12 hours, every day for months, so I never developed a tolerance for it.

What I DID develop, after months of taking a highly addictive sedative, is a desire to eat them all and end the suffering. I took about 150 of them. None of it would have happened had I never taken klonopin in the first place.

Just be careful, I guess.

Find a way to give them back. She needs them more than you do.

That's what I was thinking. It's a medication usually prescribed for seizures and anxiety. Did she have any anxiety issues or is finding the bottle(s) just a complete surprise? If not, you should give them back. Hell, you should give them back anyway. I was a slave to the K-Smack for years ughughugh.

I have some low-grade Ko-pin that an ER doc gave me for "dizzyness". But then it says it causes dizzyness. If you like feeling heavy and ready for bed for hours, go for it. I didn't really see the allure.

I dumped her for stealing my stuff. The shit is mine or in the trash. drugs.com made them sound like watered down valium. I guess I could give'em back......though she does have a prescription.... shit... I just wanted to know if they would be fun to ingest ....

If an old man named Rodney with sailor tattoos on his arms and suspenders holding his pants up too high starts hitting himself...give him his Klonopin, quick. That's all I know.

I took klonopin for anxiety. It's like a 24 hour xanax. You never feel it working with the regular dosage like xanax though, or at least I never felt it working. I guess you might feel something if you take a bunch of 'em. Either way, it is a narcotic and highly addictive if abused. And ironically enough if you take it for the long-term and stop suddenly it can cause seizures, which is what it is used to stop!
If you want to try something fun try melatonin. It's OTC and is supposed to help you sleep. Bad thing is, it causes horrific nightmares in about 25% of the people who use, nightmares they have a hard time waking from. Try it!
