Refresh my memory, is that the one of the re-dubbed japanese gameshows?

I watch that show every night at work. I work in a bar,so they keep the volume down...but still hillarious nonetheless.

Perhaps I am the only person who thought this show sucked. I just didn't see what was funny about it at all. There was maybe one or two funny things in the hour or so I watched of it....

I find it interesting that they changed the emphasis of the show so radically. I was watching an episode on Spike last night and after the second or third round, the Japanese text on the screen said "ikinokori: 60" which meant that there were 60 people remaining, of the original 100. It seems that far more people complete the challenges than we are allowed to see.

Still, it is pretty funny. We should get some more J-Game shows over here.

I told my girlfriend I was going to change my name to "Kenny Blankenship" but she vetoed.

Thank you

I didn't like it the first time I saw it, but last night I couldn't turn it off!
"I swallowed my retainer" BAHAHAHAHAHA

I know the original show wouldn't fly here. Some of those people look like they could actually get hurt.

ok, since some of you saw it lastnight, did you see the "couples" episode? that one guy pushed his wife onto the turning surf board thing. it was so funny.
and during that brass balls game, that one guys wife was crying hysterically!
and i love what they say in the dubbing. "she pops wood, and he takes it on the chin"
also, kenny blankenship is so cute love

I can't look at Beat without seeing him as a sadistic track suit wearing teacher.

It's a lot of fun to watch, the thing that pisses me off is that anyone with any exposure to Japanese culture whatsoever would realize that there's no fucking reason to dub over it with made-up dialog.

It would be a lot more interesting, no less comical and no more sensical if they took a page from Iron Chef and just translated and dubbed the actual dialog, as the Japanese need no assistance to be completely incomprehensibly crazy. I always watch it and think "OK, that's pretty funny, but if I knew what they were actually saying instead of this asshole's babbling, this shit would be priceless."
