his main bile duct is blocked and they need to bypass it by cutting holes in his gallbladder and his intestine and attaching them together. he has lost 3 pounds and is all yellow with jaundice. my poor baby. I just came home from the consult. they said it's going to be about three to four thousand dollars. frown miao!! his prognosis looks good though, as soon as he gets this.

My mom's cat has had the same surgery twice, as well as countless intestinal surgeries because apparently he's not good at pooping. So i feel for you and your cat, good luck.

Three or four thousand? Daaamn, I'm glad to hear you can afford it. If my kitty came down with something like that I'm afraid there wouldn't be much I could do.

My kitty survived two hernia surgeries and I don't regret spending the money at all. I hope yours goes as well. Are you taking kitty to a surgeon or just a regular vet?

It's heart-warming to hear you care about your cat enough to do that, there are alot of people who don't. I worked at a vet for a few years and while we would get the occasional understandable "throwing in of the towel" due to monetary concerns, I saw many a young, otherwise healthy pet put be put down because people didn't want to deal with the slightest bit of surgery. Though in alot of those cases we would take the pet in, do the surgery ourselves then put them up for adoption. Good luck!

surgeon. the procedure is too complicated to do at his regular clinic, so we got a referral.

my cat is honestly like my child. I would rather whore myself out on the street for money than kill him.
