Chloe Sevigny got a headstart on being a rebel. Her first film was the controversial Kids by Larry Clark. Since then she’s upped the controversial aspect of acting by being in films like Gummo, American Psycho, and was nominated for an Academy Award for Boys Don’t Cry.

Now she’s in the new Woody Allen movie, Melinda and Melinda. The film is split up into two parts the comedy and the tragedy. As usual Sevigny appears in the tragedy portion as a woman who is disenchanted with her marriage and starts...

i have not given the latest woody allen movie much consideration

as far as going to the trouble of seeing it at the cineplex and all

but chloe's presence could easily change all that

i think she is superb in harmony korine movies

gummo and julien donkey boy (both great and innovative movies in their own right)

interesting interview, dre

bravo yet again good sir, one of the best articles I've seen about her since the release of brown bunny that wasn't solely about brown bunny of the drama thereof.

heck, I feel bad having to even be the one now mentioning it in that light... but nevertheless, thanks!

This girl is great fun to watch work- and she seems interesting and intellegent too. Great interview- makes me want to see Melinda and Melinda that much more- I'll be the first in line when I get back in town. I really wanted to see The Brown Bunny, but it came and left theaters rather quickly, so it looks like I'll have to wait for the DVD.

i love this girl. so much so, that i misread this: DRE: Would you like to do a broad comedy? and thought it said this: DRE: Would you like to do a broad someday?

either i watched too much clone high last week and all i can hear is JFK's voice, or i'm just a perv.

I'll see it as long as someone assures me that there's not a graphic BJ scene with Woody Allen.

eeek eeek eeek puke biggrin

Oh yeah - the nipple flicking scene in Gummo is one of my favorite movie moments ever.!

I like how she's not afraid to make reference to pointed issues without purposefully emphasizing them in order to portray a certain image of herself. She doesn't have to; she's brilliant as is. Sin and innocence, youth and wisdom, masculine and feminine; it's a transcendent dichotymy.

great interview. i love that masculine feminine is one of the 3 dvds that she owns. i ran into her once at an "art party" and trailed around after her in a pathetic fashion for a while, trying to overhear what she was saying about the show... sad!!

I died a little when I realized that it was just an interview and that Chloe Sevigny wasn't the newest SG.

she's a great interviewee. i love reading about how she interacts with the different directors, especially lars von trier. good to see she's becoming more pragmatic about film as she matures. smile
