Every scene, from what was said to how we sat, was scripted in some way.

Forget about the reality in “reality show.”

Many times I found myself trying to read one of the producer’s lips about what he wanted me to say next.

The crew wanted conflict and drama to boost its ratings.

The date took us down 11th Street and up K Street to local restaurants and a bar.

The producers wanted me to fight with at least one of the girls the entire time.

Nothing I said or did on camera, I felt, reflected who I really am.

The show also used several people to fill in the background.

My favorite part of Elimidate is on the closing credits when they show the contestants dancing. And during the 3rd round where they go to a club and start dancing.

For some reason, all Elimidate contestants seemed to be trying out for some sort of dance contest, flexing their latest dance moves.

It cracks me up everytime smile

I don't understand these people who get involved with these things, go along with them and then after the fact are like "I don't think it represented the whole beautiful person I am." No shit. Then why did you go along with it in the first place?

I second this. Is it some kind of horrific "Dismissed" rip-off?

The only English show that comes close is this:

Fool Around With...

Fills the gap until the next Big Brother, I suppose.

I always assumed everything was filmed during regular bar hours with real people and not those that the crew had set up in certain places, but it was quite the opposite.

Yeah cause its so easy to film stuff in busy bars. You wouldn't be able to hear anything and there'd be some drunk guy running in front of the camera every 5 seconds.

Does anyone else think that "The State Hornet" must not have very high standards for its reporters? Cause this was seriously a bad article.

What she of THE STATE HORNET failed to even mention was: A) the money she won for each round, and the tally-up dough for "winning: the lug; and B) the FOREVER release she must sign to do the thing in the first place. Meaning: FOREVER and EVER and EVER and EVER, she will be somewhere for the next zillion years on DVDs and TV on ELIMIDATE....gah!

That would be the most chiling part for me. Get some editor who thinks you are an utter fool, angles the cutting in a certain way, and that is not only not you or anything LIKE you in reality - it in not you in every way possible for humans to see FOREVAR! whatever

There was WAYYYYYYYYY too many multiple female kisses for it to be real. I just figured they gave them date rape drugs or something.

Ya know, if the whole thing is scripted, the show should be helluva lot more awesome than it is. It's on rare occasion that I miss an episode however, compared to other reality dating shows of past and present, the shit is weak. I was actually witness to at least one episode where Elimidate streached the date into a 2 parter, which made it seem a lot less phony. I agree w/ boxing_helena, Blind Date clowns Elimindate's pants off.
