I've had several of those, when I was a kid. And a couple when I was older. Not fun at all! However, to this day I don't care about presents on Christmas, or birthdays. I asked my mom not to buy me anything this year, and spend everything she has on my little brother, who's four... he'll enjoy it more than I will biggrin

Roxy that is so cool of you. smile

once when i was 13 and my best friend was 17 her mom went away and put a club on the car steering wheel. we wanted the car so we did what everyone else would do....we sawed the club off. it took 2 hours and after there was an inch gap in the steering wheel. needless to say, her mother was not happy.

I used to have a "fonzarelli" t.v that I had to get up and whack every 10 mins cos the picture would go wonky...

My first year at college we had one of those in the dorm. I was the only one who knew the technique, so often I'd get waken to fix the tv... Hitting the tv didn't work, but stomping on a certain place on the floor sure did...

I was so poor once, no shit, that I found myself eating peanut butter out of the jar.. with a plastic spoon.. because I couldn't even afford dish soap!

Around the same time I had to shower everytime I took a dump because I couldn't afford toilet paper.

And you know what's really funny? It was still better than living with my parents.
