Have you ever been so poor you had two tv's, one on top of the other one. One for sound. One for picture. The one for picture is in black in white and the one for sound the knob is broken and you need pliers to change the channel?
Have you ever been so poor you had no steering wheel for your car and had to use jam a screw driver inside to steer?

I once had just a television with both broken picture AND sound. Just a red line that ran through the middle of the screen. Every once in a while it'd turn green maybe.

Been so poor that I:
*slept in other peoples' vans
*dug through dumpsters through lunch
*stole food off of tables when people left the restaraunt

So after that, having any kind of tv or car seemed pretty luxurious.

I've been so poor, that I lived off skittles and mountain dew for 3 months.That and speed.Kinda sucked though.

haha. i think being poor at one time is an essential experience. ya'll might hate it now. but for those who were poor at one time, i reckon you learned quite a bit.

i remember looking on the streets for pennies and eating out of trash cans at work, watching people throw away perfectly good food. i have friends that make lots more then myself that have done worse. maybe us ex-po folk will share our po stories on thanksglutton

Please don't try to stear your car with a screw driver. Cars are large and heavy and they smash motorcycles up very easily. Please take a bus until you can fix your car. Better yet, sell it and get a motorcycle. They're cheaper to maintain and less dangerous to your fellow road users. I once spent three hundred bucks on a bsa that didn't run. I traded that for a '65 ducati. The tail light on the ducati was a flashlight with a red spray can lid duct taped over the lens. I did eventually crash it but nobody, other than me, was injured.
