more and more of us not exactly old navy shopping types are getting married and knocked up (the knocked up being the relevant part here).
where on earth can i get interesting maternity clothes? maybe things that aren't lime green and lavender? that, oh, i dunno, look like something i might actually want to wear the rest of the time - but that fit around this bloody belly.
all help and guidance much appreciated and, if feasible, will be rewarded with cookies, porn, or whatever is apropos.

Ummm this is just me talking here, but why not forget about your clothes and have that bloody belly looked at? It might be infected.
Target, Motherhood, and Pea in the Pod sometimes have nice things, and the first two are fairly cheap. You just need to pick the right things.
I actually saw some cute maternity bathing suits at Target the other day.
There are a lot more options out there than there used to be. Even Seven Jeans has a maternity line now (I'd recomend ebay for that).
When I was pregnant I did fine just wearing large sizes in regular clothes. I loved wearing stretchy little girls dresses as tops. And if I wanted something a little more "punk" I made it.
Just remember to not go too crazy buying maternity clothes, you'll only be wearing them for a few months, and chances are if you ever get pregnant again, they'll be out of style.
Wouldn't know where to look for them, but might i suggest looking into Kimonos? They're cool, comfortable, and have lots of neat patterns. Plus, you'll get a lot of wierd looks wandering around in one.
