Aww come on.. Evita wasn't THAT bad..I mean, really- it must've been such a challenge for one ambitious, fame and power-seeking dyed-blonde latina to play..er..
oh, wait..
nevermind..

biggrin

Not to be an ass, and it doesn't really take away from your point, but Madonna's Italian, not Latina.

Actually, Italian American, but we're nitpicking here.

You get my point.

To go one further, she's 1/2 Italian on her Father's side and 1/2 French Canadian on her Mother's.

And to argue semantics.. 'Latin' is a(albeit somewhat outdated) term used for the countries that border the Mediterranean that speak that particular variety of the 'romance languages' Spain, Italy and technically, Portugal are included (French is also considered a 'romance language' but of a different kind) .SOOOooooo.. by this definition of 'Latin' she would be(ok 1/2) 'latina'.. and, btw, where do you think the word 'latin' comes from? Yep .Latin! And where is the birthplace/cradle of the Latin language?
You got it.
Italy.

I think it is cool. She seems like a nice lady.

And oh how quickly some forget that Madonna helped to bring sexuality into the main stream. Every generation sombody has to shoulder the chains. And they arn't sending us any more Mae Wests.

Did she really? I'd call it more 'exploiting shock value' than bringing sexuality into the mainstream. I hardly think she was 'shouldering the chains'. That was done in the 70's already. Yes, there was a sexual revolution before 'Like a Virgin', believe it or not.
I give her credit as a good businesswoman, with good trendspotters helping her, but she really can't sing all that well, and she definitely can't act. Maybe shes a better children's author.. I havent read her books.

I do too...I adore her, I have since I was like 8 years old. I like her music, her attitude, and her drive.

but...she cannot act at allllll and I wish she would stop trying. some heads need to learn to accept that they're good at some shit, and not at other shit. celebs seem to forget this tidbit of knowledge way too often.

I thought she was going by "Es-
ther" these days. Whatever. Give it up.
