Cultural chameleon and laughably mediocre actress Madonna will be playing sixties and seventies tranvestite actress Candy Darling in a new film.

No news on why she'll be working for free, but considering how Madonna's last film, Swept Away, went at the box office, finding backing for the project may be difficult.

I think it is cool. She seems like a nice lady.

Eh, I like Madonna. I can't help it. I loved her in a League of their Own, Evita, and Dick Tracy. I still sometimes listen to Bedtime Stories, True Blue and Ray of Light. It's even more of a guilty pleasure than my Shakira thing (which I validate with my bellydance obsession). I just think Madonna is cool. I look forward to seeing this.
