Talk to Olivia, s5 or Amitabha- they're all friends of mine, and all vegan. They're pretty smart folk, too.

How 'bout it. They turned me on to Firefox. They MUST be smart.

Vegan bondage gear. You should totally check us out because we are awesome and the last thing you would expect to be in the same neighborhood as the Mormon temple. I make pretty much everything so if you order something say hi to me.

Nice site.

Now I understand. It makes more sense in Cartman's voice, or Pussy11's.

I don't know a whole lot about being vegan, but try to make sure you eat lots of soy. Soy is the only protein besides animal protein that is considered "complete" and has all the amino acids your body needs to stay at its peak.

Soy in large quantities is pretty suspicious. There is evidence it can contribute towards thyroid disorders, for example. (If you eat a lot of soy, at least eat lots of seaweed too as it's good at regulating thyroid function)
I avoid soy altogether... I sometimes eat tofu, and occasionally drink soymilk, but I usually stick to beans and almond milk (or rice milk).

I was going to say, soy as a primary source of protein is not such a great idea.

Aside from supressing thyroid function it also contains phytoestrogens that may or may not play havoc with male endocrine systems. There is evidence that diets high in refined soy protein lead to lowered testosterone levels in men. For whatever reason this doesn't seem to alarm researchers, I guess the explosion of metrosexuality suggests that masculinity is not fashionable anyway. I wouldn't sweat the occasional piece of tofu or whatever, but it is something to keep in mind if you plan on making soy products, especially the powdered soy protein isolates, a primary protein source.

Also soy is not the only complete protein in the plant kingdom. There's also quinoa and hemp, and I'm sure a few others.

Just something to keep in mind if you are thinking of going vegetarian or especially vegan, be careful to separate out the religious reasons and the supposed health reasons. Humans are well equipped to eat animals and there's no reason to believe that animal products are inherently unhealthy. Whether or not the way we grow, process and prepare animal products these days is healthy is a much more productive and valuable debate; grain vs. grass fed meat, raw vs. pasturized/homogenized dairy, etc. I can imagine an incredibly unhealthy vegan diet as easily as I can imagine an incredibly unhealthy anything-goes diet. Just try to be sure why you are or are not eating certain things, and how this fits into a good balance between health, performance and morality.

Just because you can do something, doesn't mean that you should.
