So here goes... I'm a smart, funny broad who's intelligent, independent, very artistic and a hell of a lot of fun to hang out with. And yet... *gasp* I've never had a Valentine. Yeah, I know it's a BS holiday made up by greeting card manufacturers and chocolatiers... but still, just once I'd like to have one.
Anybody else never had a valentine? Or feel guilty for wanting to have one this year? I fear I may be going bonkers for actually wanting this foolish romance stuff in my life.
I've never had one, but I don't really care. If anything I'm glad I'm not obliged to put up with someone else's shit and pretend I like it for a day.

I was just thinking about this yesterday. Every relationship I've had has ended before or started after Valentine's Day. Yes, that means I've never had a relationship last more than a year. In fact, my longest was 10 months. I don't feel too bad about that, but yeah, it would be nice to experience what it's like to have a significant other on this day (as ridiculous as that is).
P.S. Hotcurry, you've got an email completely unrelated to Valentine's Day.
Yay! You have an email back at ya.

30th V-Day come and gone, still not a single Valentine.
Actually, this year I wasn't stuck at work for Valentine's Day for the first time in four years or summat, so I was able to celebrate in my traditional fahsion: not leaving the house once the whole friggin' day. If I hadn't gotten hungry, I'd've not left my room. But I did. So I ate and watched "Sexy Beast" (so romantic!) on DVD and a few episodes of Coupling (the original BBC version, not the godawful American remake) on DVD. It was a good day. I was my own Valentine. And I even put out. Yay me.
