Hey I was just asking a goddamn question. I honestly don't understand what this guy is about. Like I said, from what i've seen he's a very macho testosterone guy, and he writes about intentionally un-pc things with a taste of basic irony thrown in like gays being homophobic or blacks being racist against other black people. If that's all he has to offer then I don't understand what the big deal is about him. All I'm wondering if there's something more to it, because it seems like he's a pretty complex guy.

And I'm sorry to say it but from what I've seen it looks like Goad is a feminist. He treats women equal.

Also, this whole site is very feminist oriented, so I don't understand where you're coming from at all with that statement.

I'm glad someone around here took the initiative to interview Goad. I would have to say that this is by-far the only one worthy of his notoriety.

I have all of you beat. Goad sent me a handwritten letter from jail with a lock of his pulled-out hair.

I would also like to agree with 'one pure thought': Jim's a feminist. I found this out after he beat the hell out of his girlfriend/lover. I think it would have been anti-woman just to sit there and suck snot-coated blood back into his face, while she kept hitting him. By being passive, he would be a woman-hating male. He taught her a lesson, he educated her, cause he cared about her; "don't fuckin hit people unless you want your face split open". That's feminism!

I assume it's a slam on the puritanical, pro-censorship/anti-porn wing of feminism, more than anything else. I'm not the original poster, so I can't say for sure.

I haven't seen anything about or by this guy but I'm sure gonna check him out now. the reasons are three.

Jim Goad is fucking brilliant, no bullshit, straight to the heart of the matter writing. For One_Pure_Thought (and anyone else who can't quite figure it out), do yourself a favor and read Shit Magnet. That will answer all your questions about Mr. Goad and if it doesn't turn you into a fan then you're beyond all hope.

Jim Goad absolutely Rawks, as does my bud Lorin Partridge who remains the most interesting man I know.
