Hey folks. Yeah so it's been a week. Go to hell.

You guys should check out Nation States.

It's a crazy cool Government Simulator. You can coexist wth other players or just totally tell em to fuck off and do things your way. It's the thinking Man's game.

My nation is called Eile. Here is the UN Entry on My nation, baised on the Desicions I have made as Ruler:

The Republic of Eile is a small, socially progressive nation, notable for its strong anti-business politics. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 14 million enjoy extensive civil rights and enjoy a level of social equality free from the usual accompanying government corruption.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Equality, and Social Welfare. The average income tax rate is 45%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Cheese Exports.

The penguin is a protected species, citizens select which government department gets their income tax galleons each year, college students make ends meet by selling their kidneys, and same-sex marriages are increasingly common. Crime is moderate, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Eile's national animal is the penguin, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the galleon.

Civil Rights: Superb
Economy: Weak
Political Freedoms: Excellent
______

Cheese Exports, Bitch! I also want to explain that the only reason college students sell their kidneys is because I allowed the Hospitals to offer money for blood and organ donation. The Government Doesnt Pay for it, just allows it. Also, I know our Taxes are rediculous.. But I just cant say no to people.

Anyway, If you're interested, it's totally free, and i wanna see what kinda crazy shit you people do. Why just today the Freaky Uber Christians were trying to get me to outlaw Harry Potter. FAT CHANCE! So you know what I did? I made an official Government Statement in Support of the Series. biggrin

Give it a look, let me know!

p.s. i am in no way affiliated with it, I was just playing and thougth it might be fun to intrduce it into this environment.

_mith... again...

I read the book that the game was based on -- I think there was an interview with the author on this site.

But I have to say, I tried playing the game, and either I didn't understand everything that was going on, or it just got old real fast.

It reminds me a little of Utopia, just a lot simpler.
