It reminds me of the hotel from that one Superman movie where they stay at the niagra falls.

Am I the only one that perceives a transparent chimney?

{{{Runk, the dorky Frank Lloyd Wright expert runs hurriedly into the thread}}}

Fallingwater is an incredible architectural achievement & statement, especially considering it was designed in the early 1930's.

But, if you want to see a much more "liveable" Frank Lloyd Wright home, Kentuck Knob, only 7 miles away, is much more of a home, in my opinion.

I think its an illusion created by the sun reflecting off the windows. I think.

I don't like it. It seems too big and too visible for the place.

FLW was awesome. I saw an interview with him later in his career. He made a statement that went something like, "I'm at the point in my caeer where I simply shake my shirtsleeve and masterpieces fall out."

He was also a bit of a control freak. He designed everything in the home down to the napkin rings. I read that in one case, he designed the dress that the purchaser of the house would wear on the night that the couple received him for dinner.

FLW was amazing, But I'm a bigger fan of Richard Neutra.

Frank Lloyd Wright? I would totally live in that house. But I *am* a sucker for straight lines. And it was built with really low ceilings -- so my short ass would feel tall. Which I like.
