Great interview. I want to see this.

i met fenton and randy (and co-producer mona) a while back when they were starting research on the project. everything i've read in the trades (adult & mainstream) and other press outlets has been very positive about the docu.

the docu will be in limited release this friday and coming to smaller markets in subsequent weeks.

I heard it's supposed to be pretty good. But whenever I think of Deep Throat, I think of Watergate, not porn. So I initially thought this movie was supposed to be about Watergate. If it was, I probably wouldn't want to see it.

Yep, I'm looking forward to seeing this, too.

I hope they play it in my town hehe.

Sounds entertaining - might have to give this a look

It's funny you mentioned Joe Berlinger; he's a really good guy. I met him around the time of his first documentary, Brother's Keeper. And God, when I was in high school I used to absolutely LOVE to salivate over Cinemax late night. It wasn't until I saw 9 1/2 Weeks and of course Last Tango in Paris in my junior or senior year and learned what erotic filmmaking could be. But far as actual porn, although I've seen some interesting work, I've actually still yet to see Deep Throat- but have always meant to. Perhaps I finally will now, as well as this new doc.

P.S.- I just saw that Jenna Jameson billboard in Times Square last night when heading to China Club. Genius. Regardless of what one may think of her, she's still a superstar in the world of porn. And anyway, I'm glad to porn back in Times Square in such a grand way.
