live 105 is a pretty cool station, for mainstream radio. I like their "rewind at noon" 80's + early 90's program, as well as their soundcheck new and local music program, and their subsonic dance music program.

I abso-fucking-lutely love The No Name Show on Live 105, Fridays at 11:00 pm. It's nothing but an hour of the best annoying noise on the radio. I sincerely hope they expand this show someday. Soundcheck is pretty sweet too, not a big fan of Subsonic though.

Think of catchy song...

Got one?

Now try to stop thinking about it.

Are you trying?

Is it going away?

NO! and neither is the 105 apparently...

Seems like it.

but then it also seems like the new kids and the creepy kids who don't know anything see the popular kids (and I mean that with all the love and biggrin in the world) disliking the 105 (for various reasons, some which are more valid than others) and seem to hop on the bandwagon.

I've only been here six months, so I don't know.... surreal

One thing I don't understand is that if you ask one group they say they don't hate the other, and then if you ask the other group they say they don't hate the first, and there are plenty of people in both groups who say that the bickering is pointless / stupid / whatever, and there are plenty of people in both groups who are on each other's freinds lists, and yet there's still plenty of bickering.

It's a shame that one group seems to feel persecuted, and that the other group doesn't recognise that. I guess threads like "why do people start pointless threads?" don't help, because you're not allowed to say who that thread is aimed at, so people will feel it's an attack on them even if it isn't.

Having said that: Anything that isn't BBC radio four probably sucks.

I don't understand. Why is there so much hostility? I know for a fact that both people who got bitchy in this thread have friends in the group. Think of it this way...pretend we are a regional group for somewhere you don't live. We are a group. Can you get in? No. But, there are no journal bombings or browser crashing smilie armies or any of that shit anymore. For about the last 6 months actually. Sometimes there will be a thread on the boards but it will be marked 1:05 so you won't bother clicking on it. Just like I don't bother clicking on threads that say "SGNY Open Event" because I don't fucking live in New York.
What we do should be of no concern to anyone who's not in it.

I dunno, but I figured if I started a thread that was vaguely 105 related then I might have a chance of getting in. wink

...I mean... nevermind.
