First Guitar Song

I failed dismally at some songs I tried learning. The fast ones mostly (And Justice For All etc...). I'm sure there are a few people who can relate to wanting to learn songs specifically to show off. It was impressive until you got halfway through (you get to the "good bit") and stopped heh.

My brother gave me shit for it all the time.

Stairway To Heaven, but not the guitar solo at the end.

When I was a senior I once performed it for a 7th grade assembly and signed autographs afterward. It was my one rock star moment.

The funny thing is, later in the evening as I laid awake in bed,
the echoes from the amplifiers DID ring in my head.

Honky tonk -- I don't even know who wrote it or if it's a real song, but my dad taught me when I was 12 'cause he fucking rocks (he's currently holed up in the house because he just had surgery and can't go to work -- so he's rebuilding a 1972 fender mustang for my brother.. awesome).
