Daniel Robert Epstein: Ray Harryhausen

Wow. Ray is the man.

this is great! harryhausen has been such a huge influence on me and so many other animators i know! i saw him speak at the rochester, ny eastman house [with phil tippit] where i bought his autobiography. it's amazing i highly recommend! and again at the san diego comic con this past year, he's still such an amazingly charismatic man! right now he's restoring/colorizing "she" by merian c cooper, and actually using a computer to do so...but of course...frame by frame. i don't think the picture had previously been shown, after it's original screening! ...oh wow i just checked imdb it looks like he's completed it! "she" on imdb.

I'm so glad I discovered this interview. I already thought Epstein was great, now he's a hero. Ray Harryhausen is just a GOD!!!

he's a genius! i was once lucky enough to meet him, such a clever man. a real legend.
