Are you trying to say Marvin does not look like something a bunch of mindless jerks in marketing would call "Your plastic pal who's fun to be with"? I think he looks perfect, designed as a consumer product, but still horrifyingly depressed.

I love this Marvin like no other. I'm sorry that Marvin couldnt match exactly what everyone had pictured, but I think he works perfectly well. I am surprised people dont spend this much time going on about zaphods completely bird-cageless third head.

I think you mean second head (third arm) and he HAS it, its just hidden under his coat. It'll be there, and it wont be so hokey and distracting, like the papermache head from the miniseries. Also, Sam Rockwell totally nails my image of Zaphod.

The reason this movie got greenlighted is because Hammer & Tongs "showed" how they could get the movie budget dropped from 100 million to 50 million and not have it be hokey. From what I hear, digitally they did an excellent job, with
flare.

Some of the ways they lowered the budget:

- Marvin not being CGI
- The Vogons not being CGI (Jim Henson company)
- Zaphod's look (third arm and second head tucked away)
- who knows what else but it loocks fucking clean for a sci-fi movie.

I think they did a great job in cutting corners still trying to satisfy us.
