Using bubble gum to connect sheets not only doesn't work, but also gets you grounded for a very long time.

I have a little brother and sister and I get to use my fort building knowledge quite a bit. Our recent favorite: Duct taping the sheets together and then using a supercharged shop fan and a few well placed chairs to keep the fort up. It is very billowy and fun fun fun.

I used the fan to keep forts made of bedsheets up.

Am I the only one who somehow not only got bubblegum all caught up in their hair but at the same time had their hair caught in the bed springs underneath the bed?

That was a fucken' fun day.

my favorite forts were naturally occuring, i.e. a clump of thick trees and bushes or a bush that was hollowed out and you could climb inside.

I always fell asleep with gum in my mouth and it always ended up in my hair. Although my older brother has recently confessed to putting gum in my hair while I was sleeping and letting me think I had done it to myself. I get my hair caught in stuff all the time. Now that it is really long, if I have the window open a crack, it occasionally slips out and I close the window on it.

Hmm.

When I was 13 I cleared out my closet, hung up some christmas lights, and threw in a blanket. It was 23 kinds of awesome. My current closet doesn't allow for that sort of thing. *sigh*
