I'm sticking with AC1 for now, give AC2 a couple of months to iron out the usual startup problems. I've been playing on Darktide now for three years on AC1, time for a change.

Yup, I'm not looking forward to running the treadmill again. I'm an on off gamer, and I played AC for 2 years without breaking 60th level. Now in the last year I have 3 chars that are over 100, one of them is 126 and climbing. Kind of hard to get excited to play another game that takes such a huge time investment. I'd rather sit down, play for maybe an hour every now and then, and then go find something else to do.

My roommate played the AC 2 beta through the last few builds, and it's an impressive looking game. Sadly, the world is too small and gameplay too slow to really get me excited.

Bleh, I didn't like Asheron's Call so much. I played for a few months but got bored really quick. MMORPGs just don't hold my attention for so long. Anyone who wants to check out the ALL TIME WORST MMORPG (which is also free) go to Blade Mistress...its really really weak and hilarious, and takes like a 28k bandwidth. And all the player builds are female. And all the faces look like they were hit by 2x4's. And all the monsters share the same 5 or 6 builds. And all the weapons share the same builds too. Hehe, free stuff rocks.

Looks good, but no thanks.

I had broken a several month addiction to Anarchy Online. If I could only hate one thing I'd hate elitism. And this game is rampant with it, as I suspect with other MMORPG's. Essentially, you're hip if you seceretly go online and buy rare Ingame items for extortionate amounts of cash, or you spend exhorbanant amounts of time aquiring experience and wealth. You have to really reflect what you get out of those games.

It was fun for a fraction of the time I played, but I would never recommend anyone getting into it. This is time you could be learning new trade skills, socializing with people and whatnot.

Of course, that viewpoint may totally faulter once Star Wars Galaxies is released...

GOOD CALL!! I am so sick of all these games that are so rigidly structured you can predict your entire path from begining to end, and the only thing you can do is run around and kill things. I miss the days of old school UO before they made everything all limp/lame user friendly.
