Has anyone heard of this West Lake Stop Smoking Tea? It sounds like a nice alternative to using a patch or getting addicted to the gum, but im not sure if its legitimate.

Has anyone used it or know anything about it?

Guess what. There is no magic way to make it easy to quit smoking.
Sorry if that sounded a bit nasty, but it's true.

I've never known anyone to quit for good no matter what they used unless they actually wanted to quit. It might help you in the actual quitting, but it isn't going to help you not pick up the habit again.

Just quit. Just stop. Stop buying them. Stop smoking them. It won't kill you. You won't get the shits and the shakes and the pukes. Just stop.

I was smoking more than 2 packs a day for 8 years, and my wife was smoking at least 1 pack a day, and we quit cold turkey. It's been more than three weeks now, and the only time it bothered me was New Year's Eve. Just quit. It'll be tough for like.. a week, and then for a while whenever you drink, but it's not some Olympian challenge.

And like MrStitches said, if you don't *want* to quit, it's impossible. You have to convince yourself that it stinks, it makes you lazy and messy (or it did me, at least, anyway, because it burned off my nervous energy), and it's EXPENSIVE. But you know that.

Here's something you can do. Take the money you would have spent every day on smoking and put it in a jar. Even if you smoked only a pack a day, the money you'd save could buy you an X-Box in two months.

Good luck. smile

This was the lung of a 57 year old smoker who had 30 "pack years" (number of pack smoked per day X number of years smoked) under his belt. tongue

I had probably 8 pack years if you averaged it out... I wonder what my lungs look like. skull

Wait, why smoking pot? I mean, you're inhaling smoke into your lungs. That's not good for you.

i shouldn't do this; but... you probably won't be smoking a pack a day of pot...
yeh... it's smoke, and we should be mindful of the effect(s); but it is so much less CONTROLLING!!!
confused

anyway, it's good we're on this subject, given the number of us that are faced with the issue

No, that makes sense. I just don't see how it helps to take up smoking pot since you're still not getting your nicoteine fix and it's not like it's good for you. I wasn't registering an objection to pot smoking in general.
