This guy is fascinating, and a hell of a writer- and I've been pretty impressed with his directing as well; I like that he takes chances, and isn't afraid to go where other filmmakers wouldn't dare in films such as those mentioned and an overlooked little film of his from '99 called Black and White. Good interview- I would've liked to have read more. Whether you agree with or even like him or not, he always has something provocative and interesting to say (I kinda feel the same way about David Mamet, but for VERY different reasons).

Are you serious? Have you seen Harvard Man? What an embarrassing, sophomoric train-wreck of a movie.
His films tend to leave the impression of 'unfulfilled potential' more than any other filmmaker i can think of, Black and White being the perfect example. I'm curious to see this new film, but i won't be queueing on opening night,
