Don't know if Morpheus qualifies, but Sandman always did it for me. Before that it was the basic spider-man, x-men batman thing. What I always wondred though was why did spderman have a hyphen and batman and superman didn't?

Spider-Man has a hyphen. Always had a hyphen. Had a hyphen before most of us were born. I'm pretty sure Stan Lee said it was just to set him apart from the other bazillion superheroes. Plus he's pretty much the only (blank)man in Marvel Comics. At least, he's the only one with his own title(s).

Me, I dig on the Silver Surfer, but he's not been up to much lately.

I'm gonna call Jesse Custer a superhero and go with that. Of course, he hasn't been up to much lately, either.

How about your favorite bad guy in the super hero area. I always liked The kindly ones from Sandman, or maybe Satan himself in that series. As for the normal guys; give me Venom. He was like a mix of Gollum and Sabertooth. Got to love the crazies.
