Despite not having talked to him, just knowing someone who's in the same community as you died over there really makes it a lot more personal... And I think SG members should be proud to be included in a group with individuals like this. A lot of love goes the way of him and his family.
Another brother in arms fallen. We all send our love to the family. Even though we never met, he was still one of us and it is a loss that will be felt. God bless.
All soldiers are brothers, especially in times of war, and we all feel the pain of losing one of our own. The old saying says that only the dead have seen the end of war, and this dear fellow can finally rest.
One more life pointlessly wasted in pursuit of a fraudulent cause pushed by cynical lying politicians. One more personal tradgedy. More broken hearts the crushing pain of loss. And for what end???

Wow...I am sorry beyond belief to anyone who knew him. I have a lot of friends over there, and it will kill me if I lose any of them to this fucking war. I was lucky enough to get out of the Army before it began, but a girl I work with (fellow dancer) is getting shipped there in a couple of months. My condolences...I truly am sorry.
Mike, I want to thank you for everything that has been mentioned already and from me, personally. I knew you as the guy who would insist on watching my band practice and had endless respect in and for what we were trying to do. For coming to every crappy show you could get yourself too and for always inspiring a little more energy from us on account of your own raucousness in the audience. It's a real crime I'll never see you at another show and tossing your head even during practice. Thanks man and there's no way to express how sorry I am.
