What's the longest you've worked

2 years. consultant to an anime translation firm.

A couple weeks ago, they finally held the annual luncheon for employees with 15, 20, 25, etc...years and gave everyone their years of service certificate and gift catalog. Most of the ones for 20 years are worth between $150 and $250, which is pretty nice. I'm torn between the Cuisinart countertop grill, the Krups espresso/coffeemaker, or a little refrigerator that would be about the right size for my cube. Decisions... decisions...

3 years at the same place now I am unemployed

7 years at my old job, and I'm starting my 8th year teaching.

There was some crossover years.

Closing in on 18 years.



Fuck.

5 years tops. I will never be an employee again if I can help it.

3 years doing stained glass. would have been longer, but the market for it was bad.

I am coming up on five years.

I've been selling my soul the last seven years.

Three years. What a waste of time that was.

12 years in July

First of all I'd like to say that I'm in awe of all of you and your skill at keeping jobs. The longest I've ever kept a real job was like eight months. I've been at my current job for about a year and a half but I don't consider it a real job. You can quit real jobs.
