The Mediterranean diet has been found to be healthy and Olive Oil is one of the components of the diet that helps to keep people healthy.
Recent research has shown that oleic acid, a part of Olive Oil, cuts the levels of the breast cancer-promoting gene Her-2/ neu by up to 46 per cent. Breast cancer deaths in the UK could be reduced by about 15% if people switched to a Mediterranean diet.
Our findings underpin epidemiological studies that show that the Mediterranean diet has significant protective effects against cancer, heart disease and ageing.
Mediterranian food is very nice too, so staying healthy is very enjoyable.
and if you can't find olive oil, canola oil is the next best thing. and red wine, or any smaller, dark fruit with a small surface (i.e. grapes, dates, blueberries and the like). these things make your heart happy.
