I quit drinking and I have not felt so good in so long!

What inspired me to quit drinking was that I did not have a problem, but I was sick of drinking a few drinks and then waking up with a hangover. You young people don't know this, but when you get older, you won't be able to drink 10 drinks and wake up without a hangover. You'll sit back and enjoy your 3 or 4 drinks on a Saturday, and then wake up with a cloudy head on Sunday. After a few years or months of that, you will quit drinking. Also, you get fat really easy when you are older, and cutting booze is a great way to reduce the waistline.

I just felt like it was time to quit drinking and us my time more wisely!

Thank you for your time.

i've quit drinking due to health reasons. prior to the sobriety, going out to the bar would cost about 200 bucks a night, and since i worked in the oilfield, i'd be able to support that lifestyle. since quitting i'm finding roughly an extra 2 grand a month in disposable income.

when i found that out i puke a little in my mouth

Ain't that the truth.

After a few years or months of that, you will quit drinking.

I don't know about that.

That's the best way to go. You didn't need to quit, you just felt like it. You can still have a couple if you feel like it or on special occasions. I cut back a few years ago and now I can have a fully stocked bar that isn't in danger of being emptied in a weeks time!

I'll drink to that... blush

Though, I don't consider 3 or 4 drinks "drinking." But if they did give you a hangover, then you are better off without.

Or, maybe change what you drink. wink
