Whilst some may find jokes about rape, dead babies, and the mentally handicapped distasteful or offensive, it's doubtful that many people would tell them in the presence of someone whose dead, mentally handicapped, baby was raped—at least not intentionally. But it seems some people have a really, really fucked up sense of humor.

Somehow, that doesn't sound like it's going to carry a harsh enough penalty.

i dont get what the funny was supposed to be. im trying to get in this guys head and see why he thought this was funny and i just dont see the "punchline" was supposed to get.

It reminds me of that scene in The Office where Brent fires Dawn as a 'joke', she starts crying and everyone goes quiet due to the lack of any punchline.

Her cold retort of 'you wanker' seems to fit this situation too.

Telling jokes about it isnt too bad, it lightens the situation, makes it livable.


Telling people their loved one is dead isnt a joke. Its fucked up. Hope he gets like, the maximum punishment they can legally give him.

That's just what I was thinking. This would be the equivalent of receiving an "Official Government Document" in an envelope with a handwritten address and a crookedly placed postage stamp. Only a sucker would take it seriously.

I'm not trying to exculpate the guy. He should still receive punishment of some kind for the emotional distress he caused, and perhaps an additional penalty in light of how ineptly he perpetrated this ruse.

also...dude needs a fucking life cuz apparently he only has all the time in the world to fuck over innocent people.

I think in times of tragedy, people are waiting for any word...I don't think they disected the information for proof but once they saw the message probably didn't even look at the email address....

this is one of those situations where an angry mob situation is the best punishment
