1. Cut out all nonessential eating. Collary: no sugar, no salt, no white flour. Generally cut my diet waaaay down.

2. Gym. 5x a week. Swimming, kungfu, weights, killing myself.

3. Enter a national painting competition for my nerdy little hobby and make a good showing, if i don't win something.

4. Cut all the idiots and idiocy out of my life.

5. The last couple are small - save up to buy a new camera (And shoot more!) and a new hot rod to work on.

I just like to say that I plan on sticking to my usual plan of constant progression, never stagnation. i don't like to be impractical and make actual goals. I just know that there will be improvement in everything.

i always used to, but i usually just forgot what they were.

I read that there really is no evidence that sodium is bad for you. They think it might be bad if you already that circulatory problems. But not for sure. Besides, salt helps prevent goiters. No one wants a goiter.

salt doesn't do that. the iodine added to commercial salt does. table salt is otherwise devoid of any healthful benefit.

tasty, though.

I know.
But there are only so many places to get iodine.
Fish. Other than that I dunno. I guess you can get a supplement.
But salt is good.

From the journal entry I just wrote:

*I'll finish the grad school applications I've been putting off
*I foresee a move. Hopefully LA, but getting into the aforementioned grad schools would preclude this
*A move to LA would also likely lead to me attending law school instead of going the A&S route, so we'll see about that
*Another possibility is NYC. Some of my close friends from high school live there now, and the thought of joining them has seemed appealing as of late.
* Getting off my ass and meeting someone. I'm sort of apathetic about my lack of a girlfriend, but I think I need to abandon the "I can't be arsed" attitude, provided I meet a girl that interests me and vice versa.
*Write more interesting/entertaining journal entries
*Work on the self-confidence. It's always been problematic; there was a period in late college when I slipped out of my usual hypercritical funk, but a combination of events put me back there. I need to quit that shit; I realize how generally unattractive that quality is, even though my self-deprecation can be seen as charming and amusing sometimes. It's a fucking crutch, and it needs to stop *end channeling of Tony Robbins*
*Do something positive for liberal politics, apart from being a critic and just contributing monetarily. It's going to continue to be dark, and the best way to feel better about it is to attempt to affect some positive change.
*Buy a new keyboard because the goddamn "O" key sticks and it is really annoying.
*Keep reading. This is the only thing I dislike about SuicideGirls. I have a tendency to sit on here all evening and my reading time dropped off considerably in 2004. I was away from the site for a week and a half and actually read a few books.
*Which brings us to time management. Use my free time more constructively.

True, and i do love me some salt. But it does tend to increase the amount of water your body will retain. So, since nobody wants jiggly muscles, out the door goes the salt.

I know it's a little late, but I thought I'd post this.

Resolution #1,003

I will love who loves me
I will love as much as I am loved
I will hate who hates me
I will feel nothing for everyone oblivious to me
I will stay indifferent to indifference
I will live hostile to hostility
I will make myself a passionate and eager lover
in response to a passionate and eager love

Yes! I did that same thing. Then I started eating again and did a lot of sit-ups and push ups and now I have a decent ab set and it's been there for about a year and I haven't been doing sit ups since! Whoo-hoo!
