I keep getting this "enter password for Microsoft networking" pop-up thing when I load my computer, it isn't a big deal, but my computer is slow enough to load as it is so usually I like to just start it up, leave, and come back a few minutes later when it is loaded but now this pops up halfway through the process.

How do I shut it off?

Depends on version you'e running
On WinXP,
Run>msconfig
Click on the startup tab, and disable whatever programs you don't want to load at startup by clicking the checkboxes.
It should not load after you reboot.

What he is talking about isn't a program, it's a Windows login screen.

You're right.
Is it some type of networking client?

It's just a networking login or something, it never used to pop up but then it just started popping up. It pops up after all the system loading crap and right before my desktop loads. It's not a big deal clicking "cancel" every time but it gets annoying.

I'm curious to see what this site looks like on Windows 95. What's the latest version of IE that works, IE5.5?

You're a web designer's worst nightmare Brinstar; next you'll tell us you're also running in 640x480 in 16 colors.

Worked for me in WinME. I'm sure it will work for him too.

Site looks exactly like it did on all my work computers, which are running XP and ME and all that jazz.

Besides, web designers shouldn't care about anyone dumb enough to still be running Windows 95.

'5.Click the Change Passwords tab, click Change Windows Password, and then click OK.'

I don't have a change passwords tab. And the next step says something about putting your old Windows password in, which I don't know anyway.

Wait nevermind, it worked with just the first half of it anyway.

While we are at it where exactly do I go to get rid of all these programs loading when my computer loads? I swear my family has like 15 programs loading when Windows loads, they don't seem to realize you can just load them when you want to use them...
