Yup, time for me to get back to work..I need to find a new job that'll last me for about the next 8 months or so until I move. Both Wolf camera and a mexican restaurant down the street from me are hiring. I actually don't have any experience in either working in a restaurant or..um..selling cameras but I've talked to both employers and they say thats fine and I'll learn my way around pretty quick. I might work part time at both or full time at one. Wolf camera seems cool but learning the restuarant biz might be more useful for me down the road when trying to find new work. If I had to pick one, I just dont know which one I would go with. What do you guys think?

You can get tips at a restaraunt.

Either one is a good deal - at the camera store you can learn a lot about cameras, and then you'll always be able to parlay that experience into more high-paying jobs. The camera industry is exploding right now.

The restaurant business can also lead to a lifetime of work. Especially if you can figure out how to become a bartender. And you get tips, as delusion says, and the whole social thing.

Just pick the one that speaks to your own personal bliss, a little more than the other, as Joseph Campbell says sort of. Then dive into it with everything you've got and master it - because the experience can keep you in food, clothing and shelter for years to come.

if you must choose one or the other go for the camera job--people ALWAYS need people who know about cameras and even with no restaurant experience you can ALWAYS get an entry-level restaurant job.
