I waited on Bob Seeger one time. You should have heard the conversation he was having with his kids. They were all talking about how they had gone to Canada or something to see polar bears. I was like "God damn, I wish I was Bob Seegers kid." At least they didn't dump the sugar caddy out or spill food on the floor, then I would've had to shittalk about how shitty they were. But they weren't. So I can't.

Oh, and he left a 20 dollar tip too, so he's cool in my book.

-Some of the cast members of the show Lost come into my restaurant a lot

-As a hostess, I've seated Malcolm McDowell, Sam Neill

-I've served the lead singer from the band that sings that horrible rap-metal "be my butterfly" song. I've also served Don Ho (Drunken Baffoon) many times.

-Liza Manelli's ex, David Gest (you know, the one she beat up) called my office trying to get a hold of my boss. TWENTY MINUTES on the phone talking/whining about absolutely nothing. He even at one point mentioned that he was abused by his wife. He never mentioned her by name, but I knew who he was. It took everything I had to not bust out laughing (I know thats mean)

Thats all I got

Don Ho is the fucking man.

I never have, but my mom's a bartender and she's served Mark Wahlberg and George Clooney when they were filming "The Perfect Storm" in my hometown of Gloucester, MA. Adrock from the Beastie Boys and his father, Israel Horovitz, go into her work all the time also, and so does Blythe Danner. I guess Whoopi Goldberg goes in sometimes too, she lives in Gloucester now, but my mom's never met her.

I worked at a 24 restaurant that was 10 minutes, and the first exit off the highway from the local amphitheatre. Usually the "stars" sit in the tour bus and other people come in and order for them. But one night I waited on the Alkaline Trio and some of their crew. They were all super kickass and awesome. I don't remember what they tipped me, so it must not have been bad.

i waited on reggie white (who passed away last saturday and used to play for the Packers), robert parish (of boston celtics fame- "the chief"), and pat dye (retired college football coach--Auburn University).

Thats about it. Just sports people. Prolly waited on other people famous, but just didnt give a shit. Parish has hands as big as my torso. Freakishly large. Seriously.

**oh and i worked at a restaurant at the beach one summer where lee renaldo from sonic youth ate sometimes. never got to wait on him, though.

I waited on Newt Gingritch (so nice you couldn't even tell he was the antichrist) and Reggie Jackson (quiet).

And I was a busser at James Brown's Grandaughter's graduation. They left about six half-drunk bottles of Dom that me and my fellow bussers drank in my car.

be well,

De La Soul counts! Hell, yes!

I've waited on a bunch of famous people, but my favorite was Ted Levine -- Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs. I kept saying, "I'd fuck me," in that voice, or "I'd serve me wine. I'd serve me wine so hard . . . and none of my coworkers recognized him, so they didn't know what the fuck I was talking about.

Forest Whitaker is really mellow and laid-back, Patrick Stewart is very smiley and polite. I thought Gwyneth Paltrow was very nice, but her father was pretty much an asshole, so she was doing the embarrased and over-compensating thing.

Back when Public Enemy was touring off of the "Fight the Power" single, me and a buddy convinced the restaraunt we worked for to let P.E. come in on an off night and we'd serve them dinner instead of them eating at some crappy restaraunt on their crappy per-diem. I met Chuck, Flavor Flav, the S1-Ws, Malik Farrakahn; the only cat I didn't meet was Terminator X.
