CULTURE: Chappelle Slows Down Because [center pot joke here]

Chappelles Show will get a late season start because of Dave Chappelles illness and lack of material from his writing staff. It will begin its season in April or May instead of February.

"Dave--and his entire production crew for that matter--got a bit of a late start on writing season three," network spokeman Tony Fox told the newspaper.

Chappelle has reportedly been laid up with a nasty flu bug, adding to delays brought on by the lack of written material so far for season three. The Emmy-nominated comedy is currently on hiatus for the holidays and will resume production in January.

Its so difficult to abstain from making a marijuana makes you slow and unproductive comment, but its implied.

As far as I"m concerned, they can take as much time to sober up er, come up with new ideas as they want. Season 2 is out on DVD Feb. 8 so I'll be busy watching Sam Jackson and Rick James uncensored til April or so.

Actually, the second season DVD is getting set back as well, to coincide with the new season. Go check out Yahoo or elsewhere for confirmation, as I'm too lazy to link it.
