I'm of the mind that one should complain instead of stewing about it because it has the potential to make one feel better by creating a release valve for frustration.

This is very true. Clara you are very wise. Very wise indeed. smile

Pretend this is true so you feel better.

I was hit by a car, and the guy yelled at me for getting in his way, kicked me, then stole my wallet. I couldn't really walk right after that, so I had to scrounge in the gutter for an hour looking for a subway token. Too bad it was still a 5 mile walk back to my house, it was freezing, and my leg was starting to smell of almonds. I somehow made it to my house in an utter daze, and because of my complete and total lack of sense at this point, I crossed the street and got nailed by a car.

The same car..

I guess that time he felt bad about it, because I was a sorry site, like looking at a crying puppy... with a gangernous leg. So he called the ambulance and drove off. I woke up in the hospital with an amputated leg several hours later.

The wrong leg.

So now I have no legs, but the doctor's lawyers have got it covered so that I will never see one red cent. Then that cunt of a doctor came back in here a few minutes ago and tossed a gun with a single bullet at my stumps.

It's all I have left...

See? I bet you feel a million times better already. smile

After wind chill, it was something like -40C outside today.
That was pretty brutal.

Today is awful for me and my cupcakes!

Got up super-early this morning to take ferry to Seattle then bus across town to Cupcake Royale all to pick up 2 dozen little pieces of heaven for a girl that I've been so in love with for years. Did I mention that she lives in Alaska, and the plan was to catch a 6pm flight up in time to get them to her by the end of her shift?
Now the plane is delayed, and I'm sitting at SeaTac with a pile of love cupcakes that are steadily getting older and older, and I had to call her and ruin the surprise because she'll have to stay up late now just to let me drop them off.

"Uh, hi. You know how I said I wouldn't be up for Xmas? I lied."
Not the smoothest line in the world.
Damn you safety airport people.

Today sucks.
Love sucks.
Cupcakes are eternal.

Well, me too, I just meant to say (in as few words as possible) that I often find there are other options, besides [griping or brooding], which turn out to make me feel best of all.

I certainly don't hope to stop you from doing what works for you.

Edit: holy shit, that is a long sentence. I could have sworn I threw a fullstop in there somewhere. My apologies to the style gods.
